Memory errors might stop system operation, show error messages on the screen, or hang the system.
Use the following procedure to isolate memory problems:

For TP 390E - (2626)

Boot from and start PC Doctor. (See 'PC Doctor System Diagnostics' for details.)
Select Memory Test - Full and/or Memory Test - Quick.
Follow the instructions in the message window.

For TP 390/i Series 1700 - (2626, 2627)

Boot from the diagnostics diskette and start the PQA program (please refer to 'PQA System Diagnostics').
Go to Memory in the test items.
Press F2 in the test items.
Follow the instructions in the message window.

Note: Make sure that the DIMM is properly installed into the connector.
A loose connection can cause an error.
