INDEXMAINBOARD DESCRIPTIONBIOSMANUALQ&A

I often read in your mail question: what's about my SP566/SP561-4/... mainboard - where I can find jumpers settings?

Unfortunately, I tested only SP564-3 mainboard and to answer absolutely precisely - whether the jumpers positions coincide I can't.

But I think - it's possible to solve this problem. And I offer to solve this problem together.

At first step you should to do follows:

Open your system block cover and redraw layouts of the main chips (CPU, chipset, voltage regulator modules, BIOS module) and jumpers with their labels and names. Specify current jumpers positions.

You can simply modify my SP564 layouts map or scan your drawing or send me photo of your mb. SP564 map you can  download here (.RTF file format, prepared in MS Word 97/2000).

Send this map to vadzim@operamail.com . (Scanned images convert to JPG/GIF format pls).

In your letter specify:

  1. Full mainboard revision
  2. BIOS Award ID string (2A59GS9BC for example) and BIOS revision (P56x-G02, P550-U03 etc.)
  3. Your CPU type and current cpu speed.
  4. Number of VRM modules: (one or two modules placed on radiator at the corner of mainboard)
  5. I/O chip brand and revision (see LGS label in my map).
