Floppy drive format / busmaster

PROBLEM - Floppy drive failures on format and diskcopy commands when the system is running with EMM386.SYS and a busmaster card installed.

Systems AFFECTED - Any Valuepoint system with a busmaster adapter running DOS 5.0 or above with EMM386 and device drivers required to initialize the adapter.

SOLUTION - A device driver called TERODMA.SYS can be downloaded from the IBM BBS. Place the device driver first in CONFIG.SYS.

For Valuepoint systems 6382, 6384 and 6387 (models with flash EEPROM), a flash update (level 51 or higher) diskette is available to eliminate this failure. The flash update can be obtained from the IBM BBS.
