Clearing CMOS

Models: 2250 Series, 2410 ES, 2510

CMOS Location for 2254, 2255, 2510, and 2410 ES Models

If the power-on password is not known, clearing CMOS will disable the power-on password. To clear CMOS, complete the following steps:

 

1. Complete the preparation for disassembly procedures.
2. Remove the hood.
3. Remove the jumper msgbub1.GIF (1074 bytes) from pins 01-02 and place on pins 02-03, then replace on pins 01-02.
4. Replace the hood and perform the desired troubleshooting.

 

NOTE:

The jumper pins are labeled CLEAR on the system board.
