Removal
  1. Press out and downward on the release latches found at each end of the memory module and continuity modules bub1.jpg (5522 bytes).  Lift the memory modules and continuity modules from the memory slots bub2.jpg (5582 bytes).  The number of memory modules may vary depending upon your system's configuration.

Replacement

  1. Ensure that the latches at each end of the memory modules are released.
  2. Align the memory modules and continuity modules with the memory slots.
  3. Push the memory modules and continuity modules carefully and firmly into the slot, ensuring that the latches on both ends snap into place.

NOTE

The blank modules in RIMM slots 3 and 4 must be removed and replaced on the new system board.

IMPORTANT

The memory slots on the system board are labeled RIMM1, RIMM2, RIMM3, and RIMM4.  Look closely at the base of the memory slot connector by the release latches for the slot number.
