Removing the Memory Modules and Continuity Modules

Removal
- Press out
and downward on the release latches found at each end of the memory
module and continuity modules
.
Lift the memory modules and continuity modules from the memory
slots .
The number of memory modules may vary depending upon your system's
configuration.
Replacement
- Ensure that the latches at each end of the memory
modules are released.
- Align the memory modules and continuity
modules with the memory slots.
- Push the memory modules and continuity
modules carefully and firmly into the slot, ensuring that the
latches on both ends snap into place.

NOTE
|
The blank modules in
RIMM slots 3 and 4 must be removed and replaced on the new
system board. |

IMPORTANT
|
The memory slots
on the system board are labeled RIMM1, RIMM2, RIMM3, and
RIMM4. Look closely at the base of the memory slot
connector by the release latches for the slot number. |
