Removing the Expansion Card

Removal
  1. Perform the preparation procedures.
  2. Remove the side access panel.
  3. Turn the computer on its side (open side facing up) and locate the expansion card(s).
  4. Remove the screw bub1.jpg (5522 bytes) securing the expansion card.
  5. Pull the expansion card using a gentle rocking motion from the connector on the system board bub2.jpg (5582 bytes).

Replacement

Important: The expansion card rear connector must be properly inserted into the rear chassis slot to ensure the card is properly seated into the connector on the system board.

  1. Align the card with connector on the system board and rear connector slots on the chassis.
  2. Replace the screw to secure the expansion card to the chassis.
