Removal
  1. Locate the Microprocessor/ heatsink assembly clip:

This illustration shows the location of the microprocessor/ heatsink assembly clip tabs.  The microprocessor/ heatsink assembly clips are attached to both sides (clips bub1.jpg (5522 bytes) and bub2.jpg (5582 bytes)) of the microprocessor interface socket.

Next Step

NOTE

The microprocessor/ heatsink assembly clip is attached on each side of the microprocessor interface socket.

IMPORTANT

Do not let the screwdriver slip and hit the system board when removing the microprocessor clip.  The system board can be damaged if its surface is struck.
