Release Notes

This is the BIOS version 1.22F for the Micronics Helios system board.



BIOS Flash Installation Notes

------------------

The following steps are recommended to properly update the Micronics Helios system 

board with this updated BIOS ROM.



1.  Create a DOS system boot disk.

2.  Copy the contents of this BIOS set to the DOS system boot disk.

3.  Boot the system from this disk.

4.  Type "phlash /mode=3 HEL122F.ROM" where HEL122F.ROM is the name of the ROM file.

5.  After the flash process has completed, reboot the system.

6.  System BIOS update has been completed.



Known Limitations

------------------

This BIOS release supports the following processor configurations:

1.  Dual Pentium II and Pentium III processors from 300MHz through 550MHz.

2.  Single Pentium II and Pentium III at any speed.   

3.  Single Celeron processors at any speed.



This BIOS release does NOT support the following processor configurations:

1.  Dual Pentium II processors at 233MHz. and 266MHz.  Users of this configuration should use BIOS version 1.19.
