If a customer
attempts to Quickrestore certain models of Presario's they may encounter a error
message "Model not supported by Quickrestore". To resolve this error message
follow below steps.
1. Boot to the Quickrestore when it prompts the customer to continue
(yes/no) choose no. This will drop the customer to an a:\ prompt.
2.
At the a:\ prompt have the customer type the following minus the quotes
"uiabomwr BOM
ID Number"
NOTE: The BOM ID Number is listed on the far right
column type the number after the uiabomwr command and press
enter.
Speak to an ASG agent for further detailed instructions if
necessary.
