VL4200 support  4 banks of non-EDO memory from 256Kx32 to 16Mx32 in each





bank.  You can use all of the memory banks as long as they don't overlap





with each other.





Each 72pin SIMM occupies two memory banks and they are arranged as


following:





   4 pcs of 30 pin SIMM = Bank 0


   72 pin SIMM2 = Bank 1 and 3


   72 pin SIMM1 = Bank 2 and 0





The 30 pin SIMM socket is overlap with second side of SIMM1(left most 72





pin SIMM socket), so if 30 pin SIMMs are used, the SIMM1 must not be a


double side SIMM. Depending on the structure of you 16M SIMM, it can be


2Mx32bit x 2 bank (may be 4 pcs of 1Mx16 DRAM) or 4Mx32bit x 1 bank (may





be eight pcs of 4Mx4 DRAM).





Minimum 1 bank of memory is required for the system to run. You can


install the memory in any bank you like.
