Abstract: BIOS REPORTS INCORRECT PROCESSOR SPEED


SYMPTOM:

BIOS displays a processor speed different from what is expected.


PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:


FIX:

Reference the white print on the Processor Board near the Processor Speed jumpers, or directions below.

       Pins 1-2 on J44, J45 and J46.
       Pins 2-3 on J43.

       Pins 1-2 on J44 and J46.
       Pins 2-3 on J43 and J45.

       Pins 2-3 on J43 and J44.
       Pins 1-2 on J45 and J46.


DETAILS:

On page 146 of the "Hardware Information Book", the jumper settings for processor speeds are incorrect.
BIOS will display a processor speed different than from what is expected if the directions on page 146 are used to set the processor speed jumpers.
