Thank you for purchasing our Multimedia Notebook Computer. All of the necessary drivers and utilities are contained in the drivers folder, however, you should read the User's Manual before you attempt any installations. A complete electronic version of the User's Manual is in the "Manual" directory. Please read the "README" file in that folder for instructions on how to use it. To open the Manual, you must have Adobe Acrobat 4 installed on your system. A copy of the Acrobat reader is in the "Acrobat" directory. The "Drivers" folder contains all of the driver software your computer needs to make it fully functional. These drivers are grouped according to operating system: DOS Windows 95 Windows 98 Windows 2000 and Windows NT 4.0 Choose the driver you need from the appropriate sub-directory within each group. Please note, not all operating systems support all features. In most cases this is because the operating system's manufacturer did not intend for their product to be used in a mobile environment. We have not included support for Linux/Unix Windows 3.1x, Windows NT 3.51 or IBM's OS/2. Microsoft has virtually discontinued support for Windows 3.1x. Windows NT3.51 is completely superceded by Windows NT4. For Linux/Unix, refer to the user's manual for component information, then consult the appropriate operating system vendor for support. The computer is optimized for Windows 98se and 2000 (Professional Edition) later operating systems. The DVD player and CD-RW utilities are not included. This software is available with the optional DVD-ROM and CD-RW module(s). The drivers and utilities included represent the latest technologies available when we went to press. From time-to-time upgrades and supplements may become available as chip manufacturers improve their products. You should check with your system supplier to find out if any apply to your system. Again, thank you for choosing our Multimedia Notebook computer. Happy Computing {3x2}
