***Warning*** !!!!!!! DO NOT FLASH YOUR BIOS JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN!!!! DO SO ONLY TO RECTIFY SOME ISSUES OR PROBLEMS MAKE DOUBLE SURE YOU ARE USING THE RIGHT BIOS INCORRECT USAGE OF THE WRONG BIOS IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY ??? IF IN DOUBT ASK US ??? Please follow this procedure when upgrading the BIOS 1) Create a bootable floppy disk: Place formatted floppy in drive "A" Type cd.. at the c:\Windows> this will get you the following command c:\> Now type SYS A: and hit enter you will get the following message.. SYSTEM FILES TRANSFERRED. 2) Unzip or decompress the upgrading files to this diskette. There should be at least a flash utility and a .bin file. 3) Take note of the .bin file name. 4) Boot the system up from the floppy. 5) Run the flash utility or the .BAT file (if available). 6) Follow the directions when running the flash utility and type in the name of the .bin file (xxxx.bin) when prompted, where the X represents a letter or a number. 7) You will now be asked to save the old bios, save as bios.old Type y for yes, do not hit enter as it will kick you out of the program. Let the utility finish programming the bios. 8) After you have done this, reboot the system, check for the new BIOS date and press Del to enter the CMOS and select Load Setup Defaults or Optimal Settings on newer Bios and run the IDE HDD Autodetect. Save & Exit the new settings and boot through normally. "DONE."
